Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Customers like the quality, performance, comfort, and ease of sliding of the professional healthcare product. For example, they mention it works well, is durable, and provides comfortable support. Some appreciate the ease of cleaning and the fact that it slides easily on and off their wheelchair arm. That said, some complain about the flipping and disagree on fit.

My mom had a stroke which left her right side paralyzed. We needed a safe and comfortable way to keep her arm on the armrest to prevent the shoulder from separating due to the weight of the arm. The half lap tray is very helpful to keep her right arm at a comfortable angle. It slid over the existing arm of the chair snuggly so it feels pretty stable. We put a piece of Dycem (your occupational therapist will know what that is) under her arm to help prevent her arm from sliding off accidentally. As a warning, you must be careful to keep their hand from hanging off the front when patient is moving themself in the wheelchair. My mom has caught her fingers between the tray and the table a few times. (Ouch!) You can slide half tray in and out to adjust to the size of the person. For reference though, my mom is about 5’3’ and weighs about 140. The half tray flips up and out to the side, but does not rotate completely to hanging down position. This makes the wheelchair wider and more cumbersome if you want a break from using the tray. I have gotten used to this though and can slide the tray in the open position under the dining table at mealtime, or I can tip the whole arm of the chair back and out of the way. (Of course all wheelchairs are a little different so you will have to make your own adjustments.) The price is right for something you want to try to help yourself or a loved one.
Brother had a stroke. His right arm is a spaghetti noodle. This thing holds it up great. Slides into his wheelchair fine, easy to clean. It's survived me tossing it around the car and accidentally dropping a wheelchair on it.
Fantastic to decorate with stickers if you have an artistic side or want to torture a 45 year old man. (Stickers come off easily)
We gave this to my uncle as a gift and he absolutely loves it. It helps him carry things around the home he is in and it is not in the way when he gets up and down. Excellent product and worth the money.
Slides easily on and off my wheelchair arm. Flips easily out of the way for when I get out of my wheelchair.
Gives me a great table to lean on, eat off of, write on, and carry things around. I wish the surface was rough so things wouldn't slide... but I stuck on a rubber shelf liner that grips everything just fine now and it protects the plexiglass from hot plates of food.
Was really looking forward to using this after a long wait for it to return to stock. But the narrow fitting was too narrow for the width of the arm on my wheel chair.
Wheelchair Half Lap Tray, Black Padded Vinyl, Flip-Up Hardware, Right. Got this for a buddy who is rehabbing. Well padded and quality construction. He loved it when I slid it on. Note that this does flip up and will rest at 180 degrees, but it does not fold down against the side of the chair and out of the way as some tray tables do. I removed one star because that was not clear in the description. From what I have seen at the rehab center, that is important. For example, to pull up to a table, you will have to remove the tray table because it’s in the way. If it is an issue for my buddy, I will get him one that folds all the way down. But at least for now, this is way better than resting his weak arm on that narrow pad of the wheelchair arm.
