Product Description
There's nothing like the real thing.
The Original K.I.S.S., with its Tanto-inspired blade and bead-blast finish, is the revolutionary high-tech statement by Knifemakers' Guild member and K.I.S.S. designer "Daddy K.I.S.S." Ed Halligan. It stands for "Keep It Super Simple." It's one honey of a knife, precision fine blanked for superior fit and smooth operation.
Like all folding knives in the K.I.S.S. family, Ed Halligan's unique two-piece construction features an integral frame lock, and a breakthrough design which seals the cutting edge against the handle.
A thumb stud is used to one-hand open the blade, and as the blade is fully rotated open, the frame lock snaps crisply in behind the blade to give a sound lockup. The blade can be closed with one hand, simply by releasing the frame lock.
The Original K.I.S.S. blade shape is Tanto-inspired—Chisel-Point grind on the front and flat on the backside—so that when the blade is closed onto its handle/frame, the precision fit effectively "seals" the cutting edge to the frame, even though it's exposed. Both Razor-Sharp and Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edge grinds are available. Both blade and frame are 3CR13 stainless steel in a fine bead-blast finish.
The design of the K.I.S.S. series pocket/money clip permits them to be used in a variety of ways: clipped to the pocket; as a money clip knife; and with split-ring or lanyard, as a key chain knife.
In the wake of the success of the K.I.S.S., a flock of imitators has appeared; none offers the simple elegance of Ed Halligan's original design, and none offers the value of CRKT quality manufacturing. In fact, the more Ed's design is imitated, the better it looks.

The small form factor keeps it out of the way when it's on a belt or clipped to a pocket. The belt clip is strong and solid, I've never had one so much as loosen up let alone fall off, and it clips hard enough that it never lets the knife slide side to side without making it too difficult to remove or replace. It's aesthetically beautiful in my opinion. The simplicity of the design and the sharp [in more ways than one] angular tanto style blade are stunning. Any time I pull it out in front of someone or if they see me use it they always ask about it or mention that it's cool. You get used to it after a while.
These are awesome gifts too, not too expensive, but high quality and high utility value. I got one for my Dad's birthday [he kept commenting on how much he liked mine] and now he's carried one almost every day for years. My little brother followed suite, and you get the idea.
It's not the only knife you'll ever need, but it's awesome for 90% of most people's use cases. A couple of notes: The blade lock is part of the handle, so if you grip the handle too hard while using it, you run the risk of squeezing the lock open and closing the blade on your hand. This also means it's not a good knife for prying purposes, which is true of almost every knife, but this one is less tolerant than most. The single-edged blade also presents sharpening challenges. You can get special sharpeners for single-edged blades, DO NOT use a normal blade sharpener on this knife. In my experience, I usually lose or destroy these knives before they get anywhere near too dull to be useful. I'm really hard on knives, so your mileage my vary.
The reason why I give it only four stars is that I find that the edge isn't as durable as some other knives I've had, and it will eventually loosen up and rattle a tad. It's not perfect, but darn good, hence the 4-star rating.
This design was meant for single hand operation (right hand only); you can pull it out of a pocket, open and close it with only your right hand, which makes it ideal for quick things like opening boxes and such. Once you get used to it, it's up, out used and away with a simple hand movement.
Will it cut you? Any blade can cut you if you use it improperly. The KISS comes with a handy illustrated instruction manual that lists how you should handle and store the knife. Follow the guide, use common sense, and no harm will come to you; I promise. :)

Un must have dans mon usage quotidien.
La lame "tanto " très épaisse et biseautée peu déconcerter mais il n en reste pas moins un excellent produit.
