They do have a large logo on the outside, which is a little annoying, but not enough for me to knock off a star, it's easy enough to either cover with paint/marker/sticker, or possibly even scrape off if you were persistent enough (the logo is painted as a separate layer on top of the plastic. The two pack are two entirely identical shades, so that means the bigger logo is on the inside when the shade is used on the passenger side.
These are stuck in the window with friction, so obviously if you roll your window down it will fall down, but they're easy enough to put up and down that I'm not bothered by it. It is certainly much easier than trying to get a cling to stick without bubbles, and I don't have to worry about it peeling off inside the door. (Also, I'm not quite sure if you'd run into legal issues if you attached "blackout tint" to your window... somehow this "temporary visor" feels less likely to get you in trouble.)
One improvement I can think of is that it might be nice if the inside of the panel wasn't solid black... having that big black blob looks a little "overbearing" when you first sit next to it... I may get some grey contact paper to better match my car interior.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: I found out the hard way - be sure to remove this item BEFORE you roll down the window. I made this mistake and felt like an idiot as soon as my visor blew out the window. I've already ordered a replacement and will not do it again. :)
They are held in place by sliding them between the window and the frame. So when you roll the window down, there's nothing to hold them up. They can fall out of the car, inside the car, or follow the window down inside the door, which is what happened to me.
For a long trip out west, they were perfect. long stretches of time without rolling down the windows.
It's such a useful item. I have one in each of our 5 family cars and these shields have lasted for years.
I do slide it around to get the best coverage depending on the angle of the sun. Fyi, I purchased the black, opaque version only.

This morning (2nd day), I got to work and started to roll my window down to badge into the gate .... and the visor started to disappear into the interior of my door and was gone before I could grab it. I hoped that it was still clinging to the window and would be there when I rolled my window up, but no. It came loose from the glass and is lost inside the door. At first, my window wouldn't roll up because of the visor jammed in the way, but I kept working the button and it rolled back up after2 or 3 tries. Then I tried to put the window down again, and it initially wouldn't go down. I finally got the window down and then back up again a few times to make sure the mechanism wasn't damaged or binding because of the lost visor, so I don't think I'm going to have to go to a mechanic to get the visor removed.
I'm not telling you to stay away from this visor. I'm just saying that you need to remove it EVERY TIME you put the window down.

They are totally unsuitable for the intended purpose and, in my opinion , a total SCAM. Do not waste your money on this item unless you can get real the version shown on the listing. These are a useless substitute. NO STARS
