All of the ballasts in my household have failed over the past year, and thankfully I've been able to get low cost replacements. They can be had at Lowe's, but there you will pay an extra $10-$20 more than what sellers here charge.
Original review Jan 4, 2021:
Replaced a MagnaTek 439-L-TC-P that I suspected of causing some mild flickering in the laundry room where LED bulbs are installed. After a relatively easy install, only one of the two bulbs would dimly light up. The other, mostly not at all. If I removed one bulb with power on and then put it back in, then they would both come on at normal brightness. But as soon as you turn them off, then back on, same thing. I put the old fluorescents back in that the LEDs replaced and they worked fine. I give two stars for working with the fluorescents but take away three stars since they did not work with modern lighting while the 25 year old ballast did. There should be something in the description to let you know it may not work with at least some LED bulbs.
It should also be noted that the yellow wires come off on the opposite side of the ballast as the MagnaTek. The yellow wire lengths were long enough to double back across the body plus maybe 10-inches (I didn't measure this) so I had enough length to splice into the fixture yellow wires so no harm no foul. You may just want to be aware to cut off the yellows closer to the old ballast than not just to be sure you have the length needed.

After some searching, I came upon the Universal Lighting Technologies B234SR120M-A000I Electronic Ballast, Fluorescent, T12, 2-Lamp, 120V. I wasn't sure it would work as a replacement. Based on one person's review (or possibly his answer to a question), a person was looking to do the same thing as me and said it worked. I received the item and installed it and, voilà, it worked! I ordered 3 more because I don't know if this will stop being made at some point. My fixtures are over 25 years old. I don't want to have to change all of the lighting just because ballasts become unavailable at some point. Not taking that chance, especially since the price is cheap.
When I received the new ballast it was so much lighter than the old ballast that I was hoping that it wouldn't be a problem. Fairly easy to install once you get the fixture down. It's been a few months now, and it seems the tubes are a bit brighter and definitely quieter than the old ballast.
