2. It uses up four AA batteries for each time you fully fill the press and then press it through!! My son and kept trying to put different items through. so each time we had to change batteries. We first tried spritz cookies and it did not move it. After that each time we loaded to gun we used things that decreased in density. We finally had success with apple sauce, 16 AA batteries later!!
I hope this saves someone from wasting their time like I did.
