WEN grinder stand is pretty good as is & can be made much better with a few simple tweaks
This is a pretty good bench grinder stand, especially considering it was one of the lowest cost options that I found anywhere. It went together very quick and easy and supports my 8" Dewalt bench grinder just fine. I like that it has a quench tray and a hook to hold the cord out of the way when not in use, and that there are holes in each foot presumably so you can mount it to the floor for even more stability. I chose to go a bit different route though.I slipped a piece of plastic over the tube before sliding it into the base and trimmed away the excess before pushing it all the way in so that I could fill the post with concrete to make it more stable. It didn't take much concrete at all or seem to add as much weight as I thought it would but it did make it noticeably more stable feeling and not seem as top-heavy.I then mounted 3" locking swivel casters to two of the legs and fashioned a stationary foot out of a 3/8" bolt/washers/nuts and a hockey puck for the other. This configuration keeps it from moving around on me when in use, even without employing the brake on the casters, yet lets me tilt it onto the wheels and roll it around when needed. Since using the grinder creates a lot of dust I MUCH prefer to be able to roll it out on the driveway and leave the dust in the grass, weather-permitting, as opposed to all over my garage.I'm very happy with the stand the way I have it set up. Well worth the asking price, which is what earns it 5 stars in my book. I plan to buy another to use with a vintage Craftsman 3/4hp block grinder I recently picked up. I would definitely recommend this stand to anyone needing one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value and simply constructed.
Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2016
I purchased this with the [[ASIN:B00LPFIPQ0 WEN 4276 6-Inch Bench Grinder]]. The stand is well made, stable and easy to assemble. It's 4 (or 5) set screws and one Phillips screw for the hook in the front. The mounting plate has many options and I would imagine that it would work well for many different tools mounted on it. The post has a wall thickness of about an 1/8 thick and hollow in the middle. The post sits on ledge in the base preventing it from passing all the way through the base and secured with two set screws. The water tray is held in place with a set screw and the mount sits on top, also held in place with the set screw. The quality for the price is why this is five stars, the grinder didn't do as well, getting 4 stars from me. Overall I'm happy with this purchase and think that it's a great value. The pics are of it in the box, partially assembled and finally fully assembled with and without the grinder linked above mounted on it.
