Custom Operator Kydex Adjustable Cheek Rest Riser .080" for scoped Rifle Black

For sale are these extremely lightweight, custom handcrafted cheek rests made out of durable and chemical resistant .080" Kydex. This USA made Kydex is cell/smooth finish and is the industry standard for holsters and sheaths. Black in color with a flat (matte) texture, our 'Operator' line of cheek rests will give you a perfect cheek weld for higher mounted optics on your precision rifle or slug gun. The fit is universal. They are not make/model specific.

This cheek rest gives you approximately 1-¾” of solid, rigid adjustment up and down to accommodate your personal needs. Provided are quick adjustment, knurled steel knobs to easily adjust and tighten your cheek rest in the field. Installation is quite simple, requiring only a hand drill or a drill press, a ¼” drill bit, and an Allen wrench to permanently tighten the bolts (If desired, but not needed). If drilling your stock turns you off, you may affix the cheek rest at your desired height using double-sided 3M adhesive strips that you can purchase at any home/hardware store.

This universal cheek rest will fit most full, long rifle/shotgun stocks no matter whether you are a left or right handed shooter.They do not, however, work on Monte Carlo stocks. Measurements are; 6" L, 3-1/2" H, 1-5/8" W (upper dia.), & .080" thick. Bolts are 60mm long. ***If your stock is thicker than 1-5/8” at your drill hole locations, you may need to provide longer ¼-20 bolts to fit through your stock. Please ensure the fitment will work for your application.

Best Rifle Upgrade for the Money

This is the best solution to scoped hunting style rifle stock the I have found. I have tried the foam slip on style and the strap on both rubber and nylon style. I held off on this one because I was afraid to drill my synthetic butt stock. However, the instructions are simple and the WEB is full of great videos. So I decided that I would try this thinking that if this didn't work out I would have to replace the whole stock with an upgrade anyway. I am no carpenter or gunsmith but this thing went on without a single problem. I first removed the bolt and cleared the chamber. I bench rested the rifle and used my free hand to hold the riser in place many times to find the "sweet spot" and after several tries it always landed in about the center between the end and the comb of the stock. However, I did find that I had to use electricians tape with several wraps to secure the riser in place before I marked the drill holes. I marked the top of the slot at the curve and down the straight sides so i would have a center reference, measured down 1/8 of an inch and marked the drill spot on both sides. I laid the rifle on it's side and I followed the instructions by drilling a small tap whole first followed by the1/4" drill. Most if not all synthetic stocks are hollow about 1mm in thick plastic with a Styrofoam wedge. Is fairly hard plastic and the pilot drill will want to skip off the mark when you first start to drill so a variable power drill on slow speed or hand drill should work. I just took it slow with a sharp new 1/16 inch pilot bit and tilted it back and forth as needed to keep it centered on the mark. One of the videos i viewed on line showed how you can boil the Kydex riser and then form fit it to the shape of the stock. I found that the slight bulge out at the top of the riser was very comfortable and did not form fit it, but the option is there. Just a great high quality product and well thought out. And the kit from Hawkeye comes with really nice hardware. This one is the .80 mm thick plastic and a bit more sturdy than the lighter version. when I rest my cheek and get a good weld I cannot feel any movement and it is nice and stable once it is tightened down

just as described . simple kydex in a fairly universal shape with first rate hardware . shipping was prompt . i ordered 3 of them and put them on a ruger 10/22 TD ,a savage mkii fvsr and a ruger american in 300blk . while the thickness of the ruger american stock was just right for the riser the stocks on the 10/22 and the savage where both on the skinny side making for a teardrop kind of shape of the kydex . however this also made for a much more comfortable shooting position. i did do an add on for more comfort with a thin piece of self stick foam similar to this product https://www.amazon.com/Neoprene-Rubber-adhesive-strip-thick/dp/B00EE9LKRA and it makes a world of difference especially in cold weather . this
is a great way to upgrade an existing stock and very economical compared to buying an entire new one
