-The stand is sturdy as could be. It got moved and pushed around almost every day for 20 months. It survived a move and even some kids playing with it.
-The Velcro might seem like a way to tack on extra cost. It’s not. They send 3 pieces with is absolutely perfect (and needed) to hold your wire in place.
-The vice grip is strong and has padding on the top side for your desk. I accidentally tore off half of it (not the products fault) and it still works perfectly as intended.
-The range of motion can be limiting. But that isn’t unique to this specific product. It’s just due to it being 2 joint style stand. But die keep in mind that it is slightly difficult to pick the perfect spot for it because of this.
-The way you hold it in position is by tightening these knobs at each elbow joint. I have never had an issue with them and they hold the stand perfectly fine in any position. However if you intend to move the mic stand in any way other than on the swivel, it will make a creaking sound. It’s quiet, but since it’s connected to your mic, there’s a good chance it will pick up that creaking. (Never been loud or obnoxious to friends online, however, maybe keep that in mind if you’re recording)
Overall, this is what you’re looking for. I love this stand and I’ll use it until it breaks. And then I’ll edit this to tell you when/how.

This specific arm comes with an updated design that appears to mostly be centered around the clamp (which is a good thing). The clamp feels a lot more sturdier in design and looks nicer too. Where some of the older models we have kicking around on various projects feature a much smaller clamp which can cause it to wiggle around a bit after so many times of maneuvering the arm around. With the extended portion of the bottom of the clamp that reaches under the surface of whatever you are attaching it to, you can slide a block of wood in there (or come up with your own solution) to help stabilize it further if the arm gets a lot of use or a heavy mic at the end. Can't say for sure if that's what it is for, but the idea floated in the back of our minds.
It does come with a pop filter with gooseneck and also a foam windscreen for a large condenser-style microphone.
The only catch is we found that this arm took a little more effort to move around right out of the box. Thankfully, a drop of oil here and there and that's all it took to get it moving around just like the rest.
This one came with a small mic clip for regular handhelds or small condensers, and you have adapters so you can use the threads of the arm for any other clip or mount you need to connect to it. Those additional clips/mounts would have to be supplied by you though (ie, if you were using a large condenser for example).

I contacted the company about the issue with the clips and they told me they would replace my product for free but that I'll need to wait two weeks for it to arrive. I'm quite honestly not looking forward to the replacement as I'm fairly certain the issue will arise again, but it's a nice gesture. I'll be looking for a new arm, this time spending an appropriate amount of money for something with better quality fasteners.
Edit:
My replacement arrived much quicker than the two week estimation, and I'm including photos to show the comparison of the clips on my first unit to my replacement unit. As you can see, the clips should be flush with each other to work properly, but the ones on my original unit were warped and did not last very long. The clips on the replacement unit sit flush with each other, but are still a concern to me. If the first clips can be warped that badly, then it's not impossible to think that the replacement clips will also warp over time. As I stated previously, there are so many other solutions to holding this pin in place that wouldn't have increased the price of the unit and would have increased the structural integrity of it at the same time. Another issue is that the screw that holds the clips together loosens very easily with even the slightest bit of movement from the pin, which of course leads to having to tighten the pins more often than you should have to (which will probably lead to warping the clips). This would also be solved by using a more effective fastening method.
All-in-all, I'm impressed by the construction of the arm and desk clamp, but extremely disappointed in the integrity of the clips for the microphone pin.
Edit 2:
The replacement unit has held up well since I received it. The issue with the screws loosening is still there, but tightening all the screws every one to two weeks isn't a huge problem and it hasn't caused the clips to deform like the previous unit. They also sent me an email informing me of an updated model (the screw holding the clips together has been lengthened if I'm not mistaken) that they have offered to send to me. I'm not sure when it will arrive, but I'm interested to see what affect the longer screw has on the loosening issue.
